We want to congratulate you on your desire to get married! Here you will find helpful information as you move forward in your Wedding plans. You will also find the policies that will enable us to best serve you at this special juncture of your life. If we can be of specific help, don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to sharing in this exciting time with you.
All requests for our wedding services must be made at least 4-6 months before your wedding date.
- At The Harbour Church, we perform and officiate weddings in accordance with what we believe; which is that the Word of God is clear in stating that a marriage is between a man, who was born a man, and a woman, who was born a woman, according to the gospel as stated in Matthew 19:35 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
- Weddings at The Harbour Ministry Center are reserved for active partners (members) of The Harbour Church.
- Couples must complete premarital counseling and meet with a mentor couple.
By filling out the Wedding Request form you are acknowledging that you adhere to all our wedding policies. We reserve the right to cancel any Wedding, at any point, that is not conducted in accordance with the wedding policies of The Harbour Church.
To secure a wedding date fill out the Wedding Request Form, but know that the wedding is in an “unconfirmed” status until the request form has been approved, the deposit has been submitted and you have received formal notification in written form.
This will mean that the date has been placed on The Harbour Ministry Calendar, and the calendar of The Harbour Staff Member(s) involved in your wedding.
**Please Note: We will not conduct weddings at The Harbour Church during holiday weekends. These include: New Years, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Once the ceremony date has been “confirmed” by the Service Administrator, your wedding rehearsal date will be scheduled immediately for Harbour Calendar purposes as well as pre-marital sessions and ceremony overview session.
Please note: The rehearsal may need to be held on the Thursday before the wedding due to possible conflicts with our corporate services.
There will be a minimum of eight, one and a half hour pre-marital sessions that will be scheduled upon Wedding Request approval. In addition, a one-hour session with The Harbour Staff member officiating the ceremony must be held at least one week before the wedding date to cover all the details in your Wedding Survey in order to prepare for the ceremony.
A $75 non-refundable deposit made out to ‘The Harbour Church’ to secure the wedding date. NO DATE IS SECURED WITHOUT THIS DEPOSIT. If for any reason the wedding does not take place, the deposit is forfeited.
WEDDING COST - $1,400 ($75 deposit to be deducted from total), which include:
- Pre-Marital Counseling Sessions
- Service Administrator
- Audio Services
- One hour rehearsal
- Building Rental (4 hours including, set up, ceremony and tear down)
- Total cost due 30 days before the Wedding Day
In addition to the overall wedding cost, it is suggested that honorariums for the pastor performing the ceremony be minimally $300, and presented the day of the wedding.
The Service Administrator will go over policies and procedures regarding the actual wedding ceremony once a date has been secured. They will be the point person for any questions or requests leading up to the wedding ceremony. The Service Administrator will be present at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding however, they will not be responsible for any set up or tear down for the wedding ceremony. They will provide entry into the building and lock up.
An Audio attendant will be provided for rehearsal and the wedding ceremony. The fee is covered in the wedding costs. The Harbour sound system will not be made available to any outside individuals.
If the wedding is being held off Campus:
a. If a Harbour Pastor is asked to officiate a ceremony within a 2-4 hour drive of The Harbour, the Pastor will provide their own transportation, but will need the following expenses to be covered: gas supplement, meal allowance during their time of travel, and lodging. The total amount of these expenses will be decided by the specifics surrounding the wedding ceremony with the Service Administrator. This compensation should be given to the Service Administrator at the ceremony overview meeting at least 30 days prior to the wedding ceremony.
b. If a Harbour Pastor is asked to officiate a ceremony more than a 4 hour drive from The Harbour, the Pastor will need the following expenses to be covered: flight/travel expenditures, meal allowance during their time of travel, and lodging. The total amount of these expenses will be decided by the specifics surrounding the wedding ceremony. This compensation should be given to the Service Administrator at the ceremony overview meeting at least 30 days prior to the wedding ceremony.
We are honored to be a part of such a special occasion and look forward to serving you in the days ahead leading up to your wedding day!
