Marriage Guidance
The Harbour Church takes great joy in the establishment of marriage and delights in the union of two believers. As the Kingdom of God manifests on earth through our personal relationships, our valuable covenant relationships must be protected, deepened and faithfully maintained. We love to be involved in the building and mending process as God illuminates ways for couples to open up lines of communication, and to effectively show love and respect in ways that can be received by one another.
Pre-Martial Counseling
Pre-Marital Counseling takes place over four meetings. Each meeting is up to two hours and takes an extensive look at the couple’s hearts and history (i.e. family history, one’s understanding of marriage, one’s expectations in marriage, possible unvoiced wounding). The sole purpose of this time is to partner with God’s heart for marriage and bring to light anything that may be hidden, so as to create a safe and open line of communication and accountability for the couple.
According to the laws of the State of Florida, couples who participate in Pre-Martial Counseling are eligible for a discount on their official marriage license. The Marriage License Form is available at your local courthouse and needs to be presented and signed by a Harbour pastor one month prior to the wedding date.
