Altar Ministry
The mission of Altar Ministry is to train individuals and leaders within the church who live a lifestyle of prayer to minister to individuals after services through prayer. Identified by Harbour Volunteer tags, the Altar Ministry Team is available after each service to pray for visitors or Harbour members. We believe in the words Jesus spoke in Mathew 18:20, “When two or more gather, I am with them.” As Jesus had compassion, so the Altar Ministry Team seeks to administer the heart and love of God that empathizes with our weakness and encourages the poor and contrite spirit. As we believe that all individuals who are saved by receiving Jesus are one in the Body of Christ (Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:12), we are called to pray for one another to strengthen each other. Our Altar Ministry Team seeks to provide a safe place for individuals to stand on the Word of God and see healing of body, soul and spirit in Christ Jesus. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).
