Colombia – August 18 – 25th

On August 18-25th, Light International in conjunction with The Harbour church is planning a short-term mission trip to Colombia, South America.

Famous for their production of coffee, flowers, emeralds, coal and oil, Colombia has a rich cultural heritage. Boasting descendents from native inhabitants, Spanish colonists, Africans, and Middle Easterners, Colombia is an ethnically diverse nation. It is also the only country in South America having coasts in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.

On this 8-day trip, we will be ministering to the least of these in the prisons of Colombia as well as orphanages and several churches. The transforming power of God will touch you and those you minister to as you are stretched to grow in your faith. Journey with us as Jesus breaks your heart for drug lords, guerillas, and those who have had trouble with the law. Your life will never be the same.

Estimated Trip Cost: $1500

There is an estimated $1,000 in-country cost and $500 airfare. The in-country cost includes double occupancy hotel accommodations, breakfast and dinner, ground transportation, medical insurance, sightseeing excursions, and administrative overhead.

Israel – Dec. 4th-15th

Join us for a life-changing trip to Israel. Learn and grow as we tour and explore the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Marvel at the sights and sounds of both modern and ancient Israel. As we trace the life of Jesus from his home in Galilee to Jerusalem, particular attention will be given to the influence of Jewish thought and culture on the origins of Christianity. Gain a better understanding of Jesus’ ministry, his place among the Jewish people, and the application of His teachings for us today as you travel through His homeland.

The tour will begin along the coast of the Galilee, then head aouth down teh Jordan Valley to Jerusalem. It will highlight sights including the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights, the Dead Sea, the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, Bethesda and the Garden Tomb. The trip will also include a special evening worship celebration on 12/12/12.

Journey through a unique experience in the land of Israel and get to know the God of Israel in a more intimate way.
