Higher Ground
Higher Ground is the Young Adult ministry of The Harbour Church. The heart of Higher Ground is to teach a generation how to respond to the invitation that God has given us to know Him intimately as Abba Father. Higher Ground works to equip and release a student body to tangibly demonstrate the power and love of God, so that those who are lost will come home and those who are found will fully embrace their inheritance.
Higher Ground grew from a hunger for a tangible expression of God’s love and power. We believe that when Jesus arose from the dead, He offered man the freedom to walk in God’s presence here on earth. Our heart’s cry is to awaken God’s people to that freedom through worship, teaching and personal discipleship.
The name Higher Ground is based on the “higher call” to intimately know God, delight in Him and accurately represent Him to this world through demonstrations of extravagant love and power. We strongly emphasize a lifestyle of intimacy with God, being filled with the Spirit and staying filled to overflowing.
Higher Ground meets on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm at the Harbour campus in the youth room. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Higher Ground leadership team, you must first complete the Harbour DNA training. To find out more about Harbour DNA and the training schedule, please click here.
